@joannagriffin463: Sometimes, life makes you realise you need a change… For 27 years, I’ve been a childminder. I’ve spent most of my adult life looking after other people’s little ones, juggling long working hours with being a mum and everything that comes with family life. And although I’ve loved so much of what I’ve done, I started to realise that I couldn’t keep working at that pace forever. I wanted more time for myself. More holidays. More spontaneous plans. More financial freedom. And, most importantly, a plan for my future. I love travelling. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love getting away! But I also know how expensive holidays can be, especially when you’re tied to school holidays. That’s actually what first got me interested in this. I wanted to save money on our own holidays, but as I learned more, I realised there was an opportunity to build something alongside my childminding too. Something that could potentially bring in extra income without having to take on another job or work even more hours. So I decided to give it a go. I’m still building it, I’m still learning, and I’m still figuring things out along the way. But I love that I’m creating something for myself and my future. 🥰 And the best part? I’ve met some genuinely lovely people along the way who are all working towards their own goals. I’m not promising overnight success or that you won’t have to put the work in. But if you’re looking for something different, something you can fit around your existing life, it might be worth exploring.
