@common.entertainment: Salahuddin Jitmoud was working as a pizza delivery driver in kentucky when he was robbed and murdered by Trey Relford. Relford was caught and pleaded guilty to involvement in Salahuddin’s murder. During his sentencing, Salahuddin’s father, AbdulMunim Jitmoud, did something that left the courtroom stunned. 🥺 He publicly forgave Relford in a heartfelt speech to the courtroom and even embraced him. For Jitmoud, forgiveness was deeply rooted in his Islamic faith and his belief in mercy, compassion and the power of giving someone a chance to change.❤️‍🩹 His forgiveness did not mean he believed what happened to his son was acceptable, nor that Relford should escape justice. He was choosing not to let his anger consume him, and has since shared how he didn’t want for another life to be taken if Trey were to receive the death penalty. Through his unimaginable act of grace, he hoped encourage the man responsible for his son’s death, to change his life. 🙏❤️
