Around 3 hours ago we helped Cashmere pass. I don't have the energy to make a nice video yet, but I will post something nice soon. I'm going to focus on spoiling the crew today and hopefully post something in the next few days. Read below if you want a bit more info about today: . . . . . Unfortunately, even though she was a bit more like herself yesterday and today, she was down to 6.3lbs(she weighed over 10lbs before), and she was barely eating an ounce of food over a day. The diuretics helped her breathe normally, but she still could not take big bites and mostly licked food. This morning I opened 3 cans of Friskies of different flavors to have her pick whatever she wanted. I also had a tube of churu and Tiki Kat to make sure our little lady would feel as satisfied as she could. She purred a storm and was fine for the most part, although she wanted to go sit in the crate we've taken her to the vet in. It had a nice blanket in there and it made me feel like she was ready. After that she refused any more food and it was time to take her in. The visit was pleasant and we got to spend some time with her before they placed the catheter. Once they did and before they gave her sedation, my wife and I spent a while with her. After she got sleepy I had them leave for a while again to talk to her for a final time. Thankfully the final process was quick and she passed on within seconds. I held her for a while and cried. We will be cremating her and having a few things made besides an urn. Reality hasn't hit yet. I'm distracting myself typing this and will soon play with the crew to help through the worst. They'll probably be tired of me in a few hours but that's fine. Babby's birthday is on the 28th. I got some candles and some food he loves to celebrate. Christmas is going to be tough. We were late with setting up decorations and I was hoping to have that done this week and another nice photoshoot with the crew. I'll probably share some from last year.
