This is how my husband has been..(don’t get me wrong I miss him too but he was my husbands soul dog) we have tried 3 dog trials and they didn’t work out because I don’t think we are ready and our dog was just so wonderful for our lifestyle.. I worry so much about my husband 🥺

When I lost my Rico, I didn’t think I could ever love another dog again. I kept saying, “I don’t want another dog,” but my son kept begging me to adopt one. Then he found the dog he wanted, and somehow, Mama fell completely in love! ❤️🐾 I will always miss and love my Rico, but I’m so grateful my son helped open my heart again. ❤️🐶

I’ve lost many humans but I never cried harder than when we lost our boy Jake at 15 1/2, even though it was entirely anticipated, given his age. We waited a little over a year before we decided it was time for a new dog. It didn’t take long to realize that our old boy lives on in this one. His personality, his habits, his expectations of us and, in turn, our exceptions of him imprinted on us and remained after he left. We, in turn, both consciously and unconsciously transferred so much of that to our new smooth-brained puppy - who is now almost 6. A new pup not a replacement, but the pets we lost can live on in the pets that come later, even if they never overlap.

Been 7 months for me, and I’m still not ok, got another dog in Aug, I wasn’t ready, but the one I lost and the o e I got were and are work dogs. It’s still a little difficult but trying to be like a dog and be in the moment
