@jakeclaverqfop: The BIS currently designates only two assets as tier one collateral. US Treasuries and gold. Those are what banks globally hold on their balance sheets as riskless. The thesis for XRP is that it becomes the third. A settlement asset backed by global transaction volume at a high stable price earns that designation. No other digital asset is positioned for that specific role the same way XRP is.
