@itsthebossmom: Seven days into this postpartum recovery journey, I’m realising that healing isn’t always something you can see. Sometimes it’s simply waking up and noticing that your body feels a little less heavy. Your shoulders aren’t carrying as much tension. Feeding doesn’t leave you feeling completely wrecked. And you’re slowly becoming more comfortable in your own body again. Today’s session brought together the things my postpartum body has been asking for — full-body postnatal massage, breast massage and that comforting hot compress. And I also wanted to open up about something so many mums experience after pregnancy that women always talk about: diastasis recti. For me, postpartum care isn’t about trying to “fix” my body as quickly as possible. It’s about understanding what changed during pregnancy, supporting my recovery and knowing when I need professional guidance. Massage can be one part of that journey, alongside proper assessment and core rehabilitation when needed. I’m learning to give my body the same patience I give my babies. 🥹🤍 Day 7 done. Three more days to go. Have you ever checked whether you have diastasis recti after pregnancy? @Women’s Wellness Werkz #postpartumrecovery#PostpartumRecovery#DiastasisRecti #itsthebossmom #breastfeedingmama
