@narcissism.therapy: 1/ HE FORCES YOUR KIDS TO KEEP SICK SECRETS "Don't tell mommy daddy bought you this." "This is our secret, mommy would be mad." A narcissist teaches your 6-year-old to lie to you with a smile. Your kid learns that love means keeping secrets and betraying the safe parent. 2/ HE LOVE-BOMBS THEM IN PUBLIC, TORTURES THEM IN PRIVATE In front of everyone he's the best dad - hugs, TikToks, "my babies." At home he ignores them for hours, calls them annoying. A narcissist confuses your kids so badly they don't know which dad is real - and start blaming themselves for the cold one. 3/ HE FILMS THEIR MELTDOWN TO USE AS EVIDENCE Your kid cries because he scared them, and instead of comforting them, a narcissist pulls out his phone and records. "See how crazy you all are?" He will show that video to family, to court, to anyone. Your child's worst moment becomes his weapon. 4/ HE TURNS GIFTS INTO DEBT "This Xbox cost me $400, you better be grateful." He buys love in front of people, then reminds your kids daily what they owe him. A narcissist doesn't give, he invests - and makes your kids feel like they can never repay him enough to be safe. 5/ HE MAKES YOUR KIDS WATCH YOU BEG FOR BASIC RESPECT "Ask mommy why she won't let us be a family." He makes you say no in front of your kids so he looks like the victim. Your kids watch you have to defend the boundary that protects them, and a narcissist trains them to see your protection as punishment. They weren't just watching an argument.
