The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285–286) are among the greatest verses of the Qur’an. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to recite them every night. He ﷺ said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim) Scholars explained that “sufficient” includes Allah’s protection, blessing, and care according to His wisdom. The Qur’an itself is described by Allah as a healing and a mercy for the believers (Qur’an 17:82).
