And seriously - try not to scratch down there, even though I know it's so hard. My doctor told me my cleaning routine was all wrong, and that's exactly why my BV kept coming back. That skin is incredibly sensitive, so you really can't put anything harsh on it. Soap and body wash? Yeah... that's a hard no.

My grandma always told me not to eat eggs during menopause because it would make the vaginal discharge smell worse, and not to drink milk because it would make the itching worse. But it actually worked pretty well for me — I had no odor or itching at all.

If it's just vulva itch with no signs of bv or yeast. Use diaper rash cream, it helps control the itch a lot. At least do this till you can figure out what it is... most likely low estrogen levels and a topical estrogen cream may be needed to restore elasticity in that area. (don't put the diaper rash cream inside, only on the outside) And no it won't cause UTI. Hope this helps someone.
