People think her line ended, but her bloodline lives on today! Her eldest daughter, Borquita, stayed in New Orleans and had 9 kids (main US branch), her daughter Jeanne started a branch in France, and her son Paulin had 2 sons. Modern descendants live private lives in Louisiana and France under married names like Forstall, DeBuys, and Peychaud—mainly because the family intentionally distanced themselves from the 1834 scandal, and after 190+ years, none of them carry the "LaLaurie" name which I don’t blame them, but they would be challenging to find, but even then if you end up meeting one their probably not gonna tell you their descants of that disturbingly vile woman. I wouldn’t wanna be in that bloodline either.
