@playtolearnps: Preschoolers learn so much by observing, touching, and handling real-life materials. They need to use all of their senses to develop an understanding of each concept. That’s why we love this center! Students can pick up the fall objects. They feel the weight, the texture, the size and shape. They see the colors and the patterns. They compare similarities and differences. They notice small details, like the silk on the harvest corn and the lids on the acorns. At the science center, they practice new vocabulary and use it to describe the objects.
