🚨🆘 EMERGENCY RESCUE NEEDED 🆘🚨 DILLARD A1298992 NODASMED — Needs placement by 11AM 09/19/26 Dillard is a 9-year-old senior who is urgently looking for a rescue to give him the safe and compassionate care he desperately needs. 💙🐾 He is 76.4 lbs, neutered, and heartworm negative. He was found as a stray on Timber Wood Dr in Dallas. 💔 Dillard is an EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESCUE. He is non-weight-bearing on his left front leg and has muscle atrophy around his left shoulder. X-rays showed a nondisplaced fracture of the proximal olecranon that may communicate with the elbow joint, along with a small bone chip near the right humerus. The shelter veterinarian is recommending that Dillard be seen by a private veterinarian as soon as possible because his medical needs are beyond the shelter’s current scope of care. Despite everything he is going through, Dillard is showing everyone what a sweet senior he is. ❤️ 🐾 09/16: Came to the front of his kennel seeking attention and allowed handling and petting with no issues. 🐾 09/16: Got up with his tail wagging and eagerly came out of his kennel. He was leashed without issue and was very affectionate, super sweet and calm outside. 🐾 09/17: Very sweet and affectionate, sniffed and licked the volunteer’s hand and loved pets and affection. Dillard is ready for rescue pickup TODAY and can be released before his 09/21 due-out date.
