Went through this in the 70’s, oil embargo. You could only buy gas about once a week. If you saw a line of cars by a gas station you knew they had gas, so you got in line and hoped by the time you got to the pumps there was some left. I only drove to work and back and stopped at the grocery store on my way home. Prepare yourself mentally for this.

Well, I’m a daycare teacher and I’m about to not be able to afford to drive back-and-forth to work so when all the day here teachers are gone and there’s nobody to watch your kids how are y’all gonna work because we get paid half of what elementary school teachers get paid and still have to have a college education

I remember the high interest rates and fuel shortages in the 1970's and I am still alive.

In 1975, Congress made it illegal to sell American oil outside of the United States. In 2015 a Republican Congress lifted the ban.

I’ve lived through this when I was little. Stock up on essential personal care, paper products, food, groceries, water, batteries, try to get Christmas stuff for little kids now, get rid of subscriptions you barely use… Get oil changes now! Head on a swivel because ppl will get desperate.
