This movie was a good horror film which is why it will get a good rating. But it lacked a lot in my opinion. At the end of it I was like “that’s it?” Felt almost like I just got teased the entire movie. Like it wanted to be resident evil but I just didn’t get there for me.

It’s not resident evil, and no I don’t want to see Leon or Chris or whatever character you want to say to cope. I wanted an original story with original characters that follow the lore like RE7 or RE Outbreak. That way there’s a point to watching them because they will connect with the games. This is no different than any of the other RE movies. The Raccoon city incident did not happen in 2026 in the winter. Nothing that we saw was in the RE World or universe. It’s just a zombie ,wouldn’t even call it horror movie with the Resident evil title . There’s nothing in this movie that has to do with the games . Idk why people get mad and call you a hater when you point out that fact , that yes this is another director using the name to get good reviews. Sure good movie but nothing to do with RE but the use of the names.
