Dad got laid off most winters because he worked construction. We didn't have heat most winters. Spaghetti was a struggle meal. We'd eat it for days. Now we can't even buy beef.

Mx Cathy Bond :

Same, but we started March 2020. We’ve got a 3 year supply of staples and seed to grow more, an orchard of dwarf fruit trees in pots, 12 hens and a rooster, full off grid solar, rainwater collection and purification system, and we just bout an ev that’s 21 years old so technology won’t knock it out.

Vics_Sick_Hits :

Dad worked a coal mine and mom sewed piece-rate in a shirt factory… we ate government cheese and rice when we could get it and had chicken or hamburger gravy for meat. Many days of my childhood with not enough to eat…. I didn’t like being poor, but I know how to do it if I lose my ok paying job. We learned how to be a strong family together and that is worth its weight in gold. I feel you my friend!

🏳️‍🌈SickOfThis-2026 :

Diesel in ATL is at least $6.38 per gallon and that was a week ago when I filled up
