So use AI to check for AI. If you are allowed to use the tools as an adult you should let students use the tools as well. Otherwise tell them to hand write it.

Im french and I wrote a book in english with 500 pages without any fault because im good at english and the professor said it was Ai because no fault were found in my 500 pages book. English is really easy

All AI checkers are flawed and not accurate at all! relying solely on AI to determine if they cheated is not a fair assessment by itself. Reading and using human intuition in conjuction with AI checker is the best way to do it. Also if your students have submitted papers in the past you can easily compare papers.

The ones complaining the most about this are definitely current students trying to use AI to do their work for them while you are using AI as a tool to detect it and not do the grading work for you

I mean I’m a firm believer it shouldn’t matter if they write it or not. They are still getting it done. Everything i was taught at school besides writing and knowing the English language I have not used. If I use math I use a calculator or I just google it. PS some students do learn better using AI or whatever
