@whynotbeauthentic: Post-op Day 8 after my rhinoplasty 👃🏼🤍 First of all…the community I have found by sharing this rhinoplasty journey has honestly been AMAZING. 🥹 The advice, encouragement, checking in on me, and hearing your own rhinoplasty recovery stories has helped me more than you probably realize. So THANK YOU to the overwhelming majority of you who have been so incredibly sweet. 🤍 However…to the THREE people who felt the need to tell me my nose looks bigger now…😂 A) I have always used a filter. Welcome to social media. 😂 B) I am literally POST-OP DAY 8 and so damn swollen! 😂 Especially the tip—which is where the majority of my swelling is right now. My surgeon actually shortened my tip by 2mm, so no…what you’re seeing right now is definitely NOT the final result. We’ve got a whole lot of healing and swelling that still needs to come down. C) People really can be a-holes. 😂 I knew sharing the real, raw side of rhinoplasty recovery meant sharing the swelling, bruising, pain, awkward stages AND everything in between—and I’m still glad I did. So to the sweet ones who have encouraged me, given me advice, shared your own experiences and reminded me that healing takes TIME…thank you. Seriously. 🤍 Day 8. Still swollen. Still healing.
