@momadvocatemarlene: All-on-X update: I’m in a LOT of pain. I keep seeing recovery stories that make this look easy, and that has NOT been my experience. My mouth hurts. My jaw hurts. I’m sore, swollen, bruised, exhausted and some moments just fucking hurt. I’m not saying this to scare anyone. I’m saying it because I needed the raw stories too. I don’t regret my decision, but I refuse to sugarcoat the recovery just to make it look pretty for social media. This is my real recovery. One day at a time. 🦷❤️🩹 #AllOnX #DentalImplants #PostOpRecovery #ChronicIllness #MomAdvocateMarlene
Where did you go? Bionic says they prescribe hydrocodone

They definitely lie. I needed pain rx meds on top of OTC meds for almost 12 days. Very well worth the pain though. I’d do it again l!

They def downplay it. Trust the process though it’s so worth it in the end.. got mine 3 years ago and wish I had it done years ago

They told me 4 days. It took 3 weeks for the pain to go away. I’m on week 4 and now I’m swelling again and sore.

I dont think anyone lies... just people experience pain differently. I've heard some people who went to work the next day and had no pain, but I was in bed for two weeks when I healed with mine. I've seen some people have it even worse... it depends on your body, how it reacts, and your personal pain tolerance.

I definitely think it depends on which dentist you go to because I’m 10 days postop no pain. I feel good not one little pain.

Thank you because I thought I was crazy!!! I’m day 4 and oxycodone does not even touch the pain so I stopped. The swelling! No eating. The headache and no sleep. I though by day 4 I though I’d feel better! I feel 100 times worse! It really is horrible! Wish we could give each other a hug. I understand you trying to talk through those tears. Bless you for sharing! I feel seen and understood. 🙏🏾❤️

I assumed my long recovery has been because of bone grafting. It’s not painful but just sore and tight. Just over 4 weeks post op. Ready to feel normal for sure

I’m 7 weeks post op, I was in pain the first few days but it went away and turned in to pressure, lots of pressure, especially when I’d talk too much! The swelling inside would flare up and go and flare up and go…I LIVED with ice wraps around my head and ibuprofen. So sorry you’re in pain!
