They kept offering plea deals. My attorney just kept replying “take it to trial”. They put me on the trial docket. Offered one more deal. My attorney said they were bluffing. Sure enough 2 weeks later he calls to tell me the case is dismissed.

Regarding the first prompt: that also depends on how many trials the lawyer has been involved with. If they've only completed 15 trials, that's definitely a red flag, but if they've completed 1,000 trials, that makes it even more of a green flag.

I disagree. It’s replacing one vice (being afraid of trial) with another (going for selfish reasons). I know attorneys who consistently obtain verdicts lower than the last offer.

I just had a case settle for a million from insurance . Took 5 years. After additional fees. Being a victim under a non stop microscope Client would have been off to settle for year one 300k. Case cost her marriage.
