Six balaclava-clad knifemen ambushed a 21-year-old man like a “pack of animals” before brutally stabbing him to death. On Tuesday, Jayden Mannion-Roberts, 26, was found guilty of the ‘brutal’ murder of Dale Martin, while five others were convicted of manslaughter at Loughborough Crown Court. CCTV captured the gang travelling on electric bikes before they surrounded Dale’s car, blocking him in, dragging him out, and launching a frenzied attack. Armed with swords, machetes, and Rambo-style knives, the thugs set upon him as he tried to escape on foot, the court heard. The footage also showed them fleeing the scene afterwards, leaving Dale dying on Stenson Road on 15 June last year. Police later found blood splattered across his Renault Megane. The group were heard shouting “kill him, kill him” during what prosecutors described as a “brutal, sustained, and planned attack.” The Sun reported that Dale was targeted following a “tit-for-tat” feud between rival groups. Detective Sergeant Chris Wright, from Derbyshire Police, said: “They set out that night, armed with knives and with the intent to kill Dale. “His family now knows who is responsible for his death and, while nothing will take away the trauma of losing a son, brother, and friend, they will now see them face the consequences.” The five convicted of manslaughter are: Keenan Hamblett, 27, Ki Grant-Finlayson, 23, Kayin Holmes, 25, Kelci Thompson, 19, and Shaylon McCalla, 27. All six men will be sentenced at the same court on October 1. #5news #police
