Hyraxes are really great animals but they aren’t great pets. At least outside of their natural habitat! They are social creatures who all have roles in their Awawas (group of hyraxes) and get anxious when away from that social group! They also need to be able to roam around freely to keep them happy. And lastly, hyraxes are wild animals and often go feral out of nowhere. @DAKTARI Bush School 🐘’s gone through hundreds of dassies and only Câline has stayed with them as a cuddly pet-like companion.
