Truth! I think everyone is treated better when they are “well presented”, but the difference as a large woman is crazy. It’s been part of my own healing to be OK with being dressed down/no makeup.

I feel this way too much… Not going out without makeup and „good“ clothes. I allowed myself some years ago to not be that all the time, it feels freeing, I wear oversize hoodies and sweatshirts and sweatpants… but this is still there so much, so so much. Because… it should not be a Bad thing. Or a freeing feeling

I think, while your writing is spot on and likely has been a hard realization at different times in your life, these thoughts are not new or profound or helpful to anyone, really. Obesity doesn’t change who you are until it does; I don’t believe anyone is meant to be obese, just as no one is meant to be addicted to drugs, alcohol or other limiting behaviors.
