Any other women of colour experience white friends doing this to you? My black friends will be so excited for me and make a big deal about something I’m doing, while white friends act like they didn’t hear it, or that they didn’t know it’s a big deal.

yes I'm the same. I can never ever be jealous of someone else.im literally always the one who is excited for other people, however I don't receive the same energy when I accomplish something, it kind of hurts and then I just say o well, let me focus on validation from myself and focus on what im worthy of.

Girrrrrrrl... I was once so excited to share something with a 'friend' and I started talking TOO FAST to hear Holy Spirit say 'ssssshhhhh'. so here I am mid-sentence and I KNOW NOW I need to SHUT UP. But at the time people pleasing stopped me from stopping. IMMEDIATELY after Holy spirit told me "You just lost that opportunity" and guess what.... I did. and it was a BIG ONE!

People don’t seem to want others to be happy anymore, simply because they aren’t happy themselves. Instead of celebrating someone’s achievements, they try to bring them down and make them feel worse. We’re all just trying our best, and we all know how hard life can be. So when someone achieves something, we should celebrate and salute them, even if they don’t do things the way we would. Kindness costs nothing. You never know how hard someone had to fight to get where they are. If someone has something to celebrate, celebrate with them. There is enough negativity in the world without us adding to it. Lift people up, be kind, and let people be proud of their wins. ❤️
