I think you're too smart for religion. It's a pretty story, but the moral is simply to be a good person. You don't need religion to do that.

Science is the how, the Bible is the why. Time doesn’t exist in the spirit realm, big bang could happen and God can exist. Adam & Eve passed down death because of the tree, which is why Jesus had to pay the price or God wouldn’t be just. When people are in hard and desperate times they instinctually pray to God, why is that? You knew what fear was when you first experienced it naturally, like Dee down you know there is a God.

if you just want to believe in something that isn't Christianity, you have faith or you don't, its a spiritual awakening by God. The big bang is a theory, why its called "big bang theory". The theory is based on idea that atoms gathered and exploded, but they cant explain where atoms came from or how they gathered.

Don’t work yourself up over other people’s opinions. What I personally got out of growing up Christian was how to be non-confrontational despite blatantly outgoing dumb people. Which exist in religion and outside of it, if you don’t need community then maybe that’s what’s bothering you. Not understanding the core of what it’s there for. When people ask you about “faith” just say “I’m here to find community” if you choose to continue going. Sometimes non confrontational means smile and wave boys like madagascar.

The key to the whole thing and understanding Christianity is realizing that it’s a place to explore your personality. You visit a place (church) where you get to meet people with all sorts of backgrounds and circumstances, and you have the opportunity to help people in need whether you believe the way other members do or not none will prevent you from offering a hand.

Let me challenge you with this, lets take a moment and believe that what the Bible says is true from cover to cover. And as you brought up, there was a tree that Adam and Eve were told not to eat from and that if they did, they would die. But everything else is fair and good to eat. What is free will if there isn't a choice to be made? If there isn't a rule to obey? If you are given a choice between an apple and an apple... are you making a free will choice? What about when you are given a choice between an apple and an orange? Doesn't that choice carry more meaning with there is an apple and orange? In the same way, the tree was placed there to demonstrate and give proof that God gave us free will. Then enters the serpent... Satan. The most powerful created being. The one who's pride got him and his friends kicked out of heaven. Who is so bitter about it that he from the very beginning... has worked to destroy God's creation. To turn everything and everyone against God. Because Satan knows that the reason God created everything was so that God could love us, and we could love God by our own free will choice. And so from the very beginning Satan has been lying, stealing, corrupting everything that he can. So with that understood... doesn't it seem like a very likely thing that Satan would also corrupt scientific knowledge to point away from God? To convince people that, even though there has never been a single instance of macro evolution in all of the recorded history of mankind, we've evolved from primordial ooze? That some how it makes more sense that everything has existed forever, and that it all condensed down into a single spot of matter and then exploded... and that is some how MORE believable than believing that an intelligent, all powerful God created everything with intelligent design? If anyone is going to challenge one with bias, then shouldn't they in good faith challenge the other with bias? Science can be wrong, that is the whole basis of science... finding out all of the wrong things until you can prove what is correct. And they are no closer to proving the big bang theory and macro evolution then they are to proving God created everything.

youre getting waaayyyyyy to caught up in the meaningless details. if you dint understand the faith DO NOT read the old testament, thats not even what we believe, stick to the gospels and teachings of jesus. remember jesus didnt come to start a religion, he came to show you how to have a relationship with the father and live a good moral life. religion is man made
