@cineatomy: These stop-motion puppets have functioning muscles 💪🤯🎬 During our tour of LAIKA’s studio in Portland, Oregon, Oliver Jones, Head of Character and Practical FX, demonstrated some of the technology used to bring the characters of WILDWOOD to life. The film’s major puppets are fitted with mechanisms called “breathers”, allowing animators to create the subtle rise and fall of a character’s chest as they breathe. LAIKA has also developed a new way of putting muscles inside the puppets’ arms, creating movement beneath the surface as the characters move. Directed by Travis Knight and adapted from Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis’ beloved novel, WILDWOOD follows Prue McKeel, a young girl who ventures into a forbidden forest to rescue her baby brother, discovering a secret world of enchanted creatures, unlikely allies and dangerous adversaries. It’s set for release on 23 October 2026. We absolutely can’t wait to see it. @LaikaStudios #Wildwood #LAIKAstudios #LAIKA_partner

Dude the final battle deadah deserves to be watched on the big screen. The final war is on par with the battle of the bastards. I even preordered the Blu-ray and bought extra seats. I hope other people support this so other companies have to step it up.
