I understand you when you say feeling "normal", I feel relatively able-bodied on them as well. It's a shame they don't have pain medication like that by now that doesn't cause harmful/addictive side effects :/

Is there any pathway to get back your nursing license? I’m really sorry addiction took that away from you. I understand addiction really well. Mine was not opiates but other substances and can relate to those feelings you described. I have been in recovery for a while now, but yes the trauma, but healing is possible. Thank you for sharing your story.
