As a dancer, criticism is lowkey apart of dance, but it’s literally a love language you are taught from a very young age. People who don’t dance don’t speak the language of care that is criticism in dance. When you don’t get criticized, it means your teacher has given up on you, so knowing someone is there for you and wanting you to progress is what getting criticism means to a dancer. These pros don’t understand that people who don’t come from that background don’t have that in them and that their criticism hits them without a feeling of care.
