Use mousse, put the curlers in with DRY hair, spritz hair with some water after hair is in curlers. And I mean only get them slightly damp. Wet hair will never dry. Hope this helps!

Try doing it on fully dry hair, also I use the small rods in 3 sections on my head, the other methods don’t work for me
