I’m a massive jjk fan. I have the characters currently next to my bed lol. So. Yuji boy with pink hair- good. Sukuna the finger and curse he ate? Bad. Gojo? Good. The people who run the jjk school? Good/bad. The higher ups are bad. They don’t like yuji cause he ate a curse and he has the king of curses inside him. They want to kill yuji. But gojo- strongest sorcerer of all time (good) gets yujis killing postponed so he eat all of sukuna fingers and then dies. (The fingers cause big issues, and can’t be destroyed. But if yuji eats them, he can be destroyed, meaning all fingers gone. That is good.). Megumi- yuji friend. Has dog and frog and rabbit etc. His dad tried to kill gojo. He almost did. Then gojo becomes stronger because of it (learns reverse curse on deaths door to heal himself) Toji last words were ‘I sold my son to the zenin clan, find him pls.’ Gojo find megumi and looks after him at the jjk school. The zenin clan is a clan of sorcerers. Most of them are absolute assholes. Now, we have maki. Maki kills the whole zenin clan off because they are assholes. That’s all you need to know. Megumi didn’t care cause he hates them too. Nobara- yuji friend. Ginger hair, has hammer. She’s just cool af. That’s all you need to know. Nanami, gojo friend, blonde hair, glasses, tie, sexy, yuji mentor for a bit. Yuta- had cursed spirit that was super strong. He managed to kill geto after geto becomes bad. Why did geto come bad? The guy who eats curses? He is gojo best friend with long black hair. So, Toji tries to kill gojo, it’s because him a geto are trying to deliver this girl to one of the sorcerers. His cursed technique is immortality. But if he gets too old he turns into something like a god. Then loses his consciousness. He could take over the world. Anyway they go to deliver this girl but Toji gets in the way. Tries to kill gojo. Then when geto is about to deliver her she says she doesn’t wanna go and geto is like woooo let’s go. Anyway then Toji shoot her. Toji bad. Toji was part of zenin clan, but he has no cursed energy. They hate him because he is a fail. No cursed technique.. however, it is a heavenly pact. So he has no cursed energy but super body strength

The show is crazy confusing. The books have better pacing and little side notes to help you out. Highly recommend💕

I'm 43 and just got into anime two years ago to have something else to bond with my son over. JJK is one of our favorites, but there are times that I have to kind of lock in and even do research to kind of understand the curse techniques and other things that I've struggled to understand, lol.

JJK is a story about how tradition and older generations hold back the younger generations in an attempt to hold onto their current level of power. It is also a story about how the younger generations and world at large still move on and grow in spite of this meddling. There are also a lot of Buddhist themes and commentary.

jjk is fairly complex to understand compared to other anime, it has a pretty large side cast that gets a larger amount of screen time. the final fight as of season 3 features Yuta who was first in jjk 0, and 4 new characters as of that fight 2 of whom are dead at the end and never seen again lol

Honestly totally ok if you don’t like anime, but kind of like someone else stated if this is not your interest you won’t give it the attention necessary to follow. You need to have a genuine interest. But also watching it in English might help :) sometimes reading the subtitles can be a bit skewed trying to translate Japanese but in English they do great explaining. ✨

It is confusing but I think it just takes time to process lol, they explain everything but sometimes it’s so fast and happens amidst something insane. I’m on my third rewatch and understand it more for sure. It does seem like you don’t really like that style tho, I get it because a lot of popular anime’s are just men aura farming during a fight. My hero academia is sooo good and it’s a lot more relationship focused. You might like that one more!!!

This sounds like when I watch something I genuinely don’t enjoy but someone I love likes it. Because JK isn’t that complex an anime although last season required very close focus. So if you aren’t a anime fan at heart it will be hard to apply the effort. These are assumptions so I guess I’d ask do you like anime ? And what kind as some anime my brain will not let me watch 🤣🤣🤣
