My mom died suddenly and unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism almost five years ago. My dad doesn’t even look at any other women or have a desire to meet anyone. I told him a couple of years ago that if he ever met someone he liked spending time with, it might be hard for me at first, but i would try and be accepting as he’s mid 60s and I want him to be happy and not to be alone. He told me “I already had the love of my life, I’m not interested in meeting any other women. I’m not alone I have you and your sister and I can go visit my siblings whenever I’d like to. I might be alone but I’m not lonely” 🥹🥹🥹 this man is the reason why my standards are so high and my boyfriend now is wonderful. My dad has always been the best dad as I really admire his loyalty even to someone that is no longer here. They don’t make them like that anymore.

I was in the hospital with a rare blood clot in my brain and was recovering from the stroke it caused and my husband literally told me the friend of his that lives across the country that he would replace me with if I died. I wasn’t even dead!!! And we have two children!

My dad moved on with the young chick across the street who was like 8 years older than my brother before my mom had even passed away in hospice. Moved her in and had me calling her mom as a toddler. She still haunts me at 40 years old.
