🖤 52: 10 boring things I do daily to stay sane (ish) ➡️1. Get up ridiculously early Because 5am is a perfectly acceptable time to be awake. The rest of the world can stay in bed. The less people the better !! ➡️2. Coffee before conversation I don't care what the question is. I don't care who you are. Coffee first. We'll discuss it afterwards. ➡️3. Run 5–10K in the morning Because this sets me up for the day. About 6am I start my runs. ➡️4. Don't touch my phone first thing. I only use it to set my Strava and start my podcast that I’m gonna listen to. ➡️5. Eat proper food I try to make my meals count. Started making homemade tasty food and absolutely no guilt over eating a biscuit or 30 when I fancy them ⏰ 6. Keep my eating window simple I generally eat from midday till 6pm. Nothing after that time. But if life throws a pizza or cake at me, I'm not calling the police. ➡️7. Look after my skin Moisturiser, SPF and a prayer that one day I'll wake up looking like I've had eight hours' sleep. ➡️8. Make time for Betsy Because she doesn't care about my age, my face, my weight or whether I've run 10K. She just wants food. And I respect that 😂😂 ➡️9. Protect my peace Less explaining. Less chasing. Less worrying about what everyone else is doing. I'm 52. I've got enough going on without managing other people's opinions. ➡️10. Do things for myself, not for validation I run because I enjoy it. I post because I feel like it. I wear what I want. And if nobody likes it? I literally don’t care !!! 52 isn't about trying to look 25. It's about feeling good, laughing at yourself, protecting your peace and not giving a flying f!k about things that don't deserve your energy. Nothing extreme. Nothing impossible to maintain.
