@heyitsbaileyanne: there is something SO satisfying about a good purge. like a weight lifts off your chest the second that donate bag hits the car (or the dumpster😬). gooood feeling. but can we talk about how hard it actually is to decide what stays and what goes?? because the second I think “okay he hasn’t touched this in months, it can go” — that’s the exact toy he’s gonna ask for at 8pm that night. every. single. time.🫪🫩 that’s the thing about kids, they change their minds about what they’re into like it’s their job. one month it’s dinosaurs, next month dinosaurs are dead to him and it’s all trains, and I’m standing there with a trash bag like — do I keep it? do I not? is this a “just wait, he’ll circle back” situation or a “let it go,” situation 😂 so we keep the favorites, we let go of the rest, and we remind ourselves that less toys usually just means more actual playing anyway. he plays harder with less. every single time. anyway. the playroom breathes now and so do I 🤍😂😮‍💨 #declutterwithme #playroompurge #momlife #toydeclutter #simplifylife
