Kip :
Morality is something made collectively. It gets its genesis from a concept of “What’s better for us”, it doesn’t come out from heart or deep reasoning. If we do something, it’s because it is normal in social circumstances. If you won’t follow the morals of your surroundings - you’re going to be penalised.

Victor :
Morality is merely a face that feeds the human pride into separating itself into a deity

actually no, people operate on the pleasure principle. even the act of seeking justice is a selfish form of ego stroking and dopamine chasing

I think the biggest problem with objective morality, is that everyone would want for their perspective to be the correct one.

Just bc someone tries to justify an atrocity by disguising it as a "moral act" doesn't mean it actually becomes moral or that ppl will accept it forever. When the costs in lives, stability and wellbeing outweigh the benefits, the deception becomes unsustainable, systems that tried to sell suffering as a supreme good ended up rejected precisely bc collective wellbeing demands fixing doctrines that only cause harm

That’s just not true though is it? It’s more moral to not eat meat but most people, including myself, do. I can’t make a morally “superior” argument for eating meat vs not. At best, perhaps from a utilitarian perspective, it’s in the best interest of a society to eat a balanced diet in order for the society and species to continue with the best chance as possible, but that’s really stretching “morality.”
