Also keep in mind that the "squishy" parts of our bodies will often have stronger SSS compared to boney parts, as light can bounce through skin and cartilage but gets interrupted by solid bone. Extending SSS too much into those boney areas (like browbones or nose bridges) can create an uncanny effect, like someone's body is made out of gummy candy instead of skin and bone.

is seen red because our cells bounce back that aspect of the light. is not because pur blood is red, is because cells are absorbing the frecuencias for green and blue, leaving behind only red.
