I have a question-I know all your techniques and I’ve watched all of your videos. However-I have a special case (probably not special, let’s say severe). Two female cats-one is 21, one is 5. The 21 year old was here before the 5 year old. They got along fine for months. The 5 year old went to the vet and once she came home, the 21 year old just hated her. They got into one fight, we hoped it was a fluke. And then a few days later a bigger fight. They live separate lives now. It’s a pain, but we make it work. My question-they fight under the door. I have to put an ottoman in front of door between them, otherwise they will strike, hiss, and try to tear the door off the hinges. So how can I do the eating on each side of the door and move closer?

i don't know if this is sound advice but it's what worked for a couple mild cases of this at our house after one cat went to the vet a couple times last year. i would take a small hand towel and basically scent swap both of them and myself. i would rub the towel all over the scared one, and then myself, and then the one who'd just come back from the vet. and switch back and forth. over and over. i did that multiple times a day for a few days and it worked great. these were mild cases of the aggression though. they did not attack each other and there was no need for complete separation. the scared one just hissed and growled at the one who'd been to the vet. so im sure it won't work for everyone but i hope this helps someone 💕🥰

We had to stay with my parents for one night when we were moving and my two bonded kitties were suddenly in a house with 3 other cats and a dog (they did have a separate room away from the rest of the pets with me). They hissed at each other all night and I felt HORRIBLE! Luckily as soon as we left the house, they were fine and snuggled all the way across the country. But LESSON LEARNED.

I have two cats one girl one boy both fixed. My boy is a fat cat, but we have him on diet food. I have three litter boxes, two water bowls, and two food bowls. They still insist on eating together out of the same bowl. And sometimes I can see territory aggression out of both of them, but it’s not severe. The boy cat will wait for the girl cat to come near the food and then use his body to block her sometimes, but he doesn’t growl and he will eventually let her go and eat with him. Is this normal? I can never tell if he’s being a punk or not because there’s no growling or hissing or anything

Ok BUT I have a void kitten who came in and my other void loved him but her brother turned on them together and then she turned on the kitten. Still can’t get them to get along.

This happened to my 17yo boys. About 9 months after they decided they hated each other- we found out one had stage 3 kidney disease. We think the other smelled it first. 😔

This happened to my cat only she took it out on my dogs. They were so scared of her they were hiding under the table. It took a week maybe two of reintroduction before things went back to normal.

I have 4 cats that love each other then one day 2 of them got in a huge fight, out of the blue, long story short, one of them had 2 broken teeth that caused his gums to get inflamed, he was in pain but of course didnt show it until that incident!! Hopefully this helps someone!
