@realwhiteflag: Unfortunately, there will be no evidence that we tried our best if we don’t make it. No one will see the nights we stayed up thinking about how to make things work. No one will know how many times we swallowed our pride, gave another chance, started over, or chose patience when walking away would’ve been easier. People will only see the ending. They’ll see that it didn’t work. They’ll see that we walked away. They’ll see that we lost something we once wanted so badly. But they won’t see the effort behind it. That’s why, while I’m still here, I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. I’m going to communicate. I’m going to show up. I’m going to try. I’m going to give it one more chance when my heart tells me it’s worth saving. Because if it still doesn’t make it after that… At least I’ll know I didn’t lose it because I didn’t try. Sometimes, closure isn’t getting the ending you wanted. Sometimes, it’s knowing you gave your absolute best—and finally being at peace with the outcome.
