my households car payment is 350 a month for a literal Toyota Corolla. There are VERY FEW reasons that it should be more than 500 bucks or you ARE living outside of your means. Simple as that. At the end of the day, I ain't stupid enough to pay that shit so I do not care. Just a click bait video.

Car prices are ridiculous and that's why it bothers me. Normalizing a used car with 100,000 miles still being over $10k is messed up. It's great someone can afford what they want in life, I love that, but let's not skip over the insane inflation of cars in general. Everything has tripled except my salary in ten years.

My 21 scat pack was 41k I put 5k down and a trade in at 10.5k total 15k down. and payments we're $514 a month i could have had a payment of 700plus if I didn't drop down so much. so anything over 40k is grounds for 700 to 1000 a month.

I work in auto collections, the new norm is $700 and up and people are not paying. It’s hard as hell out here, but the two things I will never not pay are my home and car payment. Push that other shit to the back burner until you can get stable.
