Hours earlier, Trump said his administration 'should certainly have recognition' for fixing the crumbing complex, warning that otherwise 'it's going to close.' The photo was included in a federal court filing by lawyers for Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, an Ohio Democrat and Kennedy Center trustee. Beatty asked the judge weighing the building's future to consider two pieces of evidence they said 'came to light' in the past 24 hours: the image, and Trump's own statement on the tarmac Wednesday. Speaking to reporters before boarding, Trump said the administration should be credited for any upgrades to the aging venue, and warned the repairs would need 'years' of funding far beyond the $250 million Congress has already approved. 'Because frankly, if we don't do that, it's going to close,' Trump said. 'It'll end up being ripped down. It's in very, very bad shape, very dangerous shape.' You're looking at a cracked foundation and asbestos coming off The steel beams there really is not a case for renovations. There's multiple humanity and arts, public-private ventures that have to be renovated this way all through the country, starting in the capital, where we send hundreds of billions of dollars to save other Countries, not to mention what we spend on our military, so that the whole world can be safe. We have to do these things because you have to pay a cost to be the boss. Perhaps the people who want to get at him politically can focus on something else, not the renovation of a city that is overdue for its citizens and its workers to have some type of payback, where we can make our American capital look like What we spend on the of the world, it's a very small city. We really could renovate all the buildings that are public-private ones. But with all the people who wanted President Joe Biden to fail or also, the people who wanted President Trump to fail, the only common denominator is that you want people to fail so that you can go live in another country to find out afterwards that you're not welcome once the money stops. Don't say I didn't warn you.
