@myenglishcountrycottage: Welcome to Episode 4 of my new series "Creating Country Cottage Cosy". Today we are focusing on the main bedroom and how to create a nurturing, cosy but elegant and beautiful bedroom. I wanted to create a room that was a teensy hint more glamorous (I mean only a minuscule amount as it is an old farmhouse and I didn't want to compromise the authenticity....or feel like we had somehow arrived in Coco Chanel's boudoir... although I would happily take her wardrobe...). French crystal ceiling chandeliers elevate the lighting whilst keeping it cosy and romantic, sheepskin rugs keep cold tootsies cosy and cushions and fabrics abound in floral joy (but elegantly- more of a waft than a dance in this sleep sanctuary). Rustic touches add warmth and lend a cosseting feel whilst the obligatory cushionage demands immediate reclining and the softest of sleeps. Lavender sweet dreams and snoozing Sproodles.
