Some people belonged to a version of you that survived by accepting too little, forgiving too much and abandoning yourself to keep the connection. But recovery changes you. Your standards change. Your boundaries change. What you accept changes. And most importantly, the way you see yourself changes. Some connections simply don't fit the person you're becoming anymore.
