When he is ready to go back on grass you could make a bit of a mini track system, it would take time setting it up but it means they have to do some walking, so aren’t just stood in one spot stuffing their faces 😂

You do realize that hand walking is the best thing right? And you could’ve just used some pasture string to cut off the place where the newer grass was, besides you should’ve expected it since you literally said that there was a lot of new grass and what do horses do all day? Graze.

If he poos that’s a good sign that it’s not colic if they don’t poo or eat and have a odd line across the bottom of his belly that’s a sign of colic

Keep the tether on him keep him working you will have no problems people go on about stabble them but have even more room on a tether and less chance of eating to much

My horse had this same problem recently! He had a belly ache but not colic, we found it was his feet causing him problems with how dry it is where I am. Definitely get his hooves looked at just in case I know it sounds weird
