@akhenimemfenyana: After school pick up, my niece gave me a blow by blow account of the gut wrenching news we’ve all heard this week. “This is real, on the ground journalism,” I thought to myself. But absolutely nothing she was saying, or what is happening in our country, is a joke. We went home and baked after that and another thought crossed my mind: “There are children out there who will never be able to bake or do any other activity with their moms because there are men out there who thought it was their right to take their lives.” My heart is bleeding 💔 How do we raise strong and confident children when we ourselves are scared of how unprotected we are in this country? 💔 #enoughisenough
