No seriously! I work in the infant room. At 13m took my sons binky and he was weaned from bf, now at 19m my son uses the potty 90% of the time. He was moved to the 2yr old room, and talks better than most the two yr olds (they all still take binkys) does he have a little bit of a crazy chaotic personality? Hell yeah but at least his doctor is thrilled with how “ahead” he is developmentally

“But it’s too hard to take away the pacifier!” Yeah it’s almost like parenting is hard.

I think the waiting forever for potty training is just mind boggling to me. diapers are SO EXPENSIVE and so gross. I cannot imagine prolonging that intentionally

As hard as it was, I’m SO glad I worked in childcare for a couple years before I had a child. My son is 2 next week and I’m gonna start taking the binky away and getting him off the bottle because of how much it delays speech and other milestones. I did take the classes, and I understand so much better than if I hadn’t.

Thank you for bringing up the rise of “delayed” kids. So many kids aren’t ACTUALLY delayed, the parents are actively delaying them by not parenting them, not giving them responsibility, not making them do anything on their own.

THANK YOU!!!! I hate when people say “they’re only 3” “they’re only 4”. Children are so incredibly smart when given the opportunity

Hi :
I think parents underestimate how much kids are capable of and how smart they are

Or when their kids are running around in a restaurant and the parents say “this is how it looks when you don’t have an iPad kid”. No ma’am, this is what neglect looks like. Same neglect, just a different way

this should not cause controversy, the amount of screen time given to toddlers is definitely effecting there development

dare I say that kids with autism and developmental disabilities are too coddled sometimes. kids are so incredibly capable when given the chance! challenge them, give them opportunities to practice their independence within their respective limits

I miss working in Montessori because the parents genuinely cared about setting their kid up for success by teaching them life skills💔

Their kids don’t even be diagnosed from a professional they self diagnosed and use it as an excuse to treat their child like an egg and avoid parenting
