The numbers are pretty wild. According to the study, Wyoming had 76% more retirees moving in than South Carolina, the number 2 state, and 105% more than Idaho at number 3 . Even traditional retirement destinations like Florida and Arizona had fallen out of the Top 10 for fastest-growing retirement states. And it’s not just one corner of Wyoming attracting people. Retirees are landing everywhere from Gillette and Casper to Sheridan, Cody, Evanston and communities across the state. The appeal makes sense: open space, outdoor recreation, smaller communities, lower taxes and a completely different pace of life. But there’s something I think anyone considering retiring here needs to know: Wyoming can be VERY different depending on where you live. Access to hospitals, specialty medical care, shopping and other everyday services can range from right down the road to hours away. Finding the right Wyoming town matters just as much as finding the right house. So I’m curious... Would you retire in Wyoming? And if you already did, where did you move from? If you are looking to buy a home in Wyoming, reach out. I’d love to help you find the one. If you’re new here, hi, I’m Alexander Lexington, a Realtor with eXp Realty. I travel all over Wyoming sharing what it’s actually like to live here and helping people buy and sell homes along the way. If you’re looking to buy a home in Wyoming, reach out. I’d love to help you find the one. #WyomingIsReal #RetireInWyoming #MoveToWyoming
