i once cut of a friend because; so I sell stuffs online and I also have a walk-in store where my clients usually comes for pickup. I open on Sundays too so she was passing with her bf with his friends in the car and I was in my store with my pickup client the next this girl said immediately she get down from the car was "you no dey ever rest, na you find money pass? no be say e get better thing wen you don achieve after all this your hard work,one day you go carry me go show me the lands wen you don buy" omo shame be wan kpai me since that day I stopped talking to her till date. normal normal I wouldn't have reacted like that if she said that when we were alone tbh.

I never make am oo!! But I once had a leadership role where I had to be addressed a certain way. My ‘friend’ at the time would do some silly stuff addressing me a wrong way too casual for comfort. I cut her off! Not because I was proud, but I was hurt that I kept explaining this to her and she kept breaching a boundary!! I’m big on respect and there’s nothing wrong with that!!! At first, her actions made people within that space see me as someone who wasn’t serious and only came to play. Why? Because of a person that breached boundaries. It wasn’t until my work started speaking for me that, that narrative changed. She kept calling it pride. I don’t care what she thinks, not my problem my personal brand is more important to me than her feelings.

Very true, i have friends who are medical doctors and that’s how i refer to them, i call them Doctor….. then i attach their names, even on my phone, that is how their numbers are saved. Not only my doctor friends, i like to recognize them by their profession. They earned it.
