Simple baked fish with herbs (simple kitchen setting)Ingredients2 whole fish, cleaned (approx. 500 g each)2 tablespoons olive oil3 cloves garlic, crushed1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon paprika or black pepper1 teaspoon rosemary or thymeJuice of 1 lemon1 medium onion, slicedHow to make itWash the fish well and pat dry with paper towels.Make shallow cuts along the sides of the fish so the seasoning can penetrate better.Spice the fish with salt, crushed garlic, olive oil, paprika, herbs, and lemon juice. Spread the seasoning over the entire surface and inside the fish.Place a few slices of onion inside the fish to add flavor.Let marinate for 20 to 30 minutes so it can absorb the seasonings. Preheat the oven to 200°C for 10 minutes.Place the fish on a baking tray greased with olive oil or lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the skin is golden and the flesh is tender. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve the baked fish with fresh herbs, olive oil, and homemade bread.
