@newsofbahrain_: The USS Boxer (LHD 4) conducted flight operations in the Arabian Sea as the US Navy continues maritime operations in the region amid the US blockade against Iran. The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship, deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the US 5th Fleet area of operations. CENTCOM has released footage showing Boxer conducting flight operations in recent weeks. According to the information provided by CENTCOM, US forces had redirected 105 commercial vessels as of September 18 while enforcing the blockade. CENTCOM previously said the blockade covers vessels entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas. The Boxer’s embarked Marines and aircraft are supporting US maritime operations as Washington maintains its presence in the region. CENTCOM says the broader mission is aimed at enforcing the blockade while allowing vessels not violating it to continue regional maritime traffic. #NewsofBahrain #news #NOBDigital #Bahrain
