@dralexsundermann: How do you prevent measles exposures in hospitals? When a person is sick enough with measles that they need to go to the hospital, it’s important that the hospital is prepared to not expose others. This is especially important in children’s hospitals! If you think your kiddo has measles, call your pediatrician or the ER *before* going to visit them so that they can help you take the proper precautions to prevent others from getting sick.
If you’re over 30 or so, talk to your doctor about getting your titer levels for MMR checked. I had mine done last year and I only still had immunity to one of the three things covered in there so I had to get vaccinated.

If you don't believe in science and refuse to follow the guidelines, then you shouldn't seek treatment because it is also based on the same science. It is ridiculous that we are accommodating people after they put us all at risk.

Also, it would help if medical staff would wear masks around newborns and babies. Instead most don’t and many push back when asked to.
