litterally my MOM uses hrt to manage her menopause. it's not just gender affirming care, but just genuine general medicine. everyone should be able to access it if they need it

So true! I’m a cis female and apply testosterone gel daily because after I had kids, my testosterone plummeted and I felt terrible 😩 also, fun fact - there is no FDA approved option available for women (because you know, testosterone is ONLY for men) so I have to pay out of pocket for testosterone gel that was formulated for men. Because it’s made for men I have to eyeball my dose (one dot), instead of getting an exact amount that I need. A man would typically apply one full tube daily.

My mom, my nan, my aunts all took HRT when they hit the menopause. I'm in perimenopause and once I've had my hysterectomy, I want to talk about estrogen to help with my peri. Hormones are amazing!

my hisband is on T. im 60 post menaupausal and hrt is almost impossible to get prescribed or approved. male art is much easier.

one of the medications my dad takes basically cuts off all natural testosterone production so he has to inject it himself once every two weeks

The reason I am on HRT is not because of menopause but it is because of bone loss and osteoporosis. I don’t want to break a hip in my 50’s. When estrogen is low in older women, our bodies turn brittle and are prone to break.

There’s a difference between hormone SUPPLEMENTATION (for women putting off menopause and men with low t, as you mention) than trans people taking hormone REPLACEMENT therapy
