thats exactly how I have mine done. you can buy plates, but 6 bolts with washers, itll rip the board out before it pulls those bolts thru.

im not a fan of that wheel chock. but I do have e track rails set up on mine so I can adjust if I need to move further up or back etc

Over the tire straps that connect to the rub rails are 100x better those junk ass plates

Nope I don’t trust them after hours of traveling over bridges and just everything I have d rings welded to the trailer and secure it to the frame I’ve been going for 25 years and never had one come loose I’ve seen many people strapping it to the buggy itself but it moves around from the shocks and they will come loose so I go to the frame

I would cut a 1/4" plate same size as that bracket and use through bolts and sandwich the board.

Totally trust them! All of run them. Thousands of miles no issues and just mounted as instructed thru the board.

grade 8 bolt and big washers on the bottom will be plenty strong but Id go through the frame if possible with a bolt or two.

I used d rings with a thick flat plate on the bottom side because I worried about it pulling the bolts through the wood

go to harbor freight and just buy e track and bolts through the floor

No issues with mine used big washers on the bottom side been on a couple 800-1000 mile trips

I used 2 d rings per tires run bolt through wood big washer on other side strap over my tires did my enclosed that way and my open trailer

Never had a problem hell I used 3/8 self tappers in to the wood in a hurry never had a problem

NEVER TRUST just screwing down. If you use them dril holes in your boards, add a backing plate underneath the boards and bolt together.

Stake pocket D rings. And Vulcan lasso straps. You can get both off Amazon. One to each tire. Easy, affordable, zero issues ever.
